I see this everywhere. There’s a lot of gig workers and part-timers, lots of people doing random 1099 jobs, now. Unemployment rate for teenagers, who usually fill jobs in the summer, was an alltime high last year. But still, a lot of them are back in school and dayshifts at the Dairy Dip are available. The question is why would anyone take that shift to work for $12 an hour and deal with a bunch of coworkers who can’t even speak English, a bunch of fat disgruntled mask wearing customers, and the bullshit of a boomer manager who is off their rocker insane and mad that they will never be able to retire because they believed in the 401k lies, got shafted in a divorce or two, and got swindled by propaganda like timeshares or some shitcoin. You can do two rides with rideshare, or two deliveries an hour—and match that $12/hr or beat it.
Maybe more people are selling drugs or onlyfans, too, idk. The “pandemic” lockdown and fearmongering was devastating to morality. Many millions of people are still crushed, fearful, destitute, hopeless.
