Covid is what pushed companies to finally accept remote work. Before that, they kept promising that the internet would allow us to work from home, but most companies didn't let their employees do that. Finally with covid, they changed their minds, and millions of jobs suddenly had no physical component - IT people in silicon valley could move to Montana and keep their jobs. Now, instead of being on the verge of an EV lifestyle, they need a truck because there's no EV charging in Montana.
Armies will be raised, because none of the transitions that are planned will be carried out fairly, and the butthurt will be tremendous, from all sides. The woke will be upset that they can't drag the conservatives into the future, and the limitations of science will finally be revealed.
