OP needs to learn more about the hierarchy though. The Rockefellers are not old money and do what they are told and only do what they are allowed to like any other low level puppet. They were/are given permission to control the businesses they murdered and stole to get. There are other families that are similar (i.e. Rothschild/Bauer).
They use these families as front men like all other puppets. Letting them take the heat when any light comes their way in exchange for infinite wealth and debaucherous above the law lives.
Find the old money families and you start to find the ones who give the orders. The Hapsburgs/Hanovers/de Medici/etc etc etc. These usually aristocratic families exist in every country. Ever since they used "government" and "democracy/communism" systems to pull the wool over the citizens eyes they have been plotting and scheming far more than they ever did when they were openly ruling as evil kings/queens/papacy/etc.
The Rockefellers and other members of the same rank get protection because they lead directly to the higher/highest ranking members. The Club of Rome, the Vatican Bank, and all those organizations (that things like the Panama papers lead to/aka follow the money) have a trail of murders around them. They try to kill anyone who can bring them too much attention.
Like every other tyrannical, megalomaniac idiot they are scared to death of the people they rule over. The more we focus on them, the more we win.
Even public info shows they are extremely wealthy. And extremely hidden.
The real wealth has been hidden inside their Trusts and managed inside Chase Bank (now JP Morgan Chase). Rockefeller was the largest shareholder of Chase (which was the largest bank in the world) by 1930. Hmmm....
When Standard Oil was split Chevron and Exxon Mobil (and others) emerged with Rockefeller owning the bulk of shares. Anyone have links to how many?
The Rockefeller Trusts basically control a top 3 investment bank by proxy. They have significant ownership in top oil companies. Own billions in real estate and much more.
Yes they are onto the 4th generation of wealth now with David Rockefeller (the last of the 3rd gen) dead in 2017.

They aren't the same family. This has something to do with why one was given permission to control certain parts of the finance sector, while the other was given permission to control certain parts of the oil, transport and medical sector.
The Bauers history may be intermarried later on, but initially they were not connected. Not until the higher ranking members decided to allow them in and allow them to intermarry with some of their own families and between the two.
That question have no any sense. That kind of people(?) print money.

More correct and much more interesting questions will be "what resources they control?", or "who(what) is their boss?"
