I too am bored. I feel like all the struggle is contrived. I don't feel like I have anyone to protect from anything really, any banner to fly, an empire to fight against or for that brings anything greater, or a purpose to champion.
Hobbies, pastimes, pursuits....sure. got a lot of those. Money isn't bad, could save invest and keep my head down and be fine.
But it's boring. I feel like over the years, I keep seeking escapes from the dullness of life...not the struggle....the struggle is all this 'convenience' and the apathy it has bred. I fear we are going to be seeing a 'Warriors' style moment soon amongst those negatively affected by the culture stagnation and perpetual numbing of our individuality.
Worrying about bills, and retirement and planning annual vacations....that's wrong kind of struggle
Not directly, but the life you describe is the life of a normie. Live in a suburb, work at a job, go on annual vacations, and etc. I don't see how people can stand it. The fact that you say you're bored says it all. I would push the button that destroys the industrial revolution and electricity if I could, and free all the normies from their comfortable cages. Granted, most have been cage-trained so effectively they would just die, but life is meant to be lived outside a cage.
But that's the black pill point I am making. That 'modern convenience' isn't providing satisfaction to the world.
Sure some can go form spiritual groups...but how spiritual will it be if it cannot connect with the rest society who eschew that?
I guess what I am saying is I agree with you that the normie life is not a good one, but I am saying that it isn't just normies who are forced into it.
It's the society itself....sure if you leave and go into the woods...you are not apart of it, but neither are you connected to a massive part of the greater world now.
But society was not always like that.
Society is based on the times and the collective whole of itself. So if society isn't doing anything, eventually it's gets sick and starts to decay....ie. warriors style gangs and tribes and fighting between groups who cling loosely together or strongly around something....
I don't necessarily believe we have lost the chance completely, but it's definitely getting harder to imagine a path, and it's clear that it's no longer an option for everyone to pursue.
When I was growing up, despite the media being propaganda to some degree still, it was always promoting the idea of a western ideal that anyone can become successful or at the very least have a meaningful life if they desire it and seek it.
Effort was promoted, and cheating was seen as a moral sin against yourself and others. Yet, it was common knowledge that people cheated and the themes of cheating applied to most antogonists.
Cut to today.... everything is about inclusivity at all costs, cheating is promoted as doing whatever it takes to get ahead, there is this combination of poor character traits combined with typically ignorance everywhere.
There is a lot condescending thematic dialogue designed to regurgitate ethical points about the environment and being guilty....
Even if you try hard, the world these days is telling you to do nothing and be little, and your magnificent ideas are no longer important unless they are esg compatible.
And then we get narcissistic billionaires who typically are all made by the state or government grants and giant contracts from family members also connected to grants etc....who claim they stand for individuals....despite literally reaping all benefits and accumulating wealth from the people mostly through cheat codes.....
You get pariahs claiming to defend you just to keep their ill-gotten gains, and then you have the collectivism trying to pull you down with them....
Individuals cannot do it alone, so we need a proper way of bringing back grassroots organization on the libertarian side for once...
A type of mini-republic that still acknowledges the rights of the members whilst allowing them to provide a subset of their own values and align with like minded individuals.
We cannot trust political parties alone anymore....we must take them back at a new layer ourselves....micro-republics to put forth candidates who represent the true underlying individual values.

Becoming a normie is a big mistake.
What? Did I say that somewhere???
