I hope this goes without saying but I'll say it anyway: just because you give a violent criminal what they want don't mean they won't behave violently towards you

Of course, I'm in full support of the 2nd Amendment so I'm not just trying to throw shade, but I am at a loss as to the logical rationale of this. I just totally don't get it.
