So. I suggest that a great hydrogen comet impacted earth. This event created mass quantities of water and soot, resulting in mass excitinction caused by mass flooding and oxygen drop.

To be quite blunt, I have no idea what would happen in this hypothetical scenario. I just know from what I've researched that evolution as we've been taught actually doesn't have as much actual evidence as we're told.
