Twenty years later, I’ve come to realize that tech jobs have a uniform. It’s called jeans and a t-shirt. Maybe a hoodie when it is cold. If you dress in a suit and tie or stray too far from the normal attire, people suspect you don’t know what you are doing. You might not be serious about computer science.
