Not in massive groups. Hungry mobs won't descend on your place all at once like zombies, they're gonna try and group up into as small a group as possible that they still think can get the job done, because that means the spoils are spread between less people. Sure, you'd probably be overwhelmed by 20 people, but you're way more likely to get groups of 5 or so. Which is very doable on home turf

Unless you live where I live, you won't know what you got yourself into.
The conditions of the environment will naturally cull the hoards.
As well as, I can see anyone before they see us. I have a well placed tree stand 30 feet up a ponderosa pine.
