Those fire are, I suspect, always there, as part of the populations there clearing rainforest to make land for farming in a non-sustainable manner.

the only thing that keeps me from totally buying into Agartha or some sort of inner earth ruler is, if they exist, they'd be partly responsible for the misery human, outer earth, societies are causing.

seems like kind of a douche move for supposedly enlightened beings.
