they were slowly getting everyone used to the increased colored maps! THATS why they changed them!! i get it now! people associate red and orange with burning and hell! deep reds and pinks were NEVER USED back in the day unless it was very very severe weather or a tornado or something. now they just plaster red on every fucking rain storm or temperature above 80
