I feel like I'm the resident Metaphysics expert in here. I am psychic/clairvoyant to a degree. It runs in my family, and I have studied and practiced since I was 13 (decades ago).
I wrote a great post on here about astral travel, you might want to check that out. Personally I think meditation is the most helpful, Practicing the Power of the Now was the most helpful book about that. That will help you start altering your perception enough to incorporate ideas that will lead you to having newer perceptions that expand both your concepts about reality and your abilities to engage in it.
A great author that reflects your line of questioning is John Kreiter.
As far as what have I seen? God, angels, demons, ghosts etc.
No - but I don't seek them out, but allow for the possibility of their existence. I DO believe in aliens, that both live and observe us here. I DO believe we are being coopted like cattle by a nefarious force, whether you want to call it The Archon, Lucifer etc., that has qualities our consciousness recognizes as reptilian.
I try to stay grounded in this plane as much as possible, our work is here for now. Conversations with entities? Yes. Do I make it a goal? No. It's not very practical talking to inorganic beings that don't hold the same references as we do - it can lead to getting lost in a fantasy/world that doesn't have much meaning for us. I only seek knowledge when it helps expand my consciousness here in the eternal Now so that we can 'tend the garden.'
