I concur 100%. He was nerd but seemed friendly and guileless (well, aside from the biggie, right?), and I'm sure people felt compelled to tell him all kinds of things. On the flip side, I suspect he lived a life like Natascha McElhone in "The Truman Show".
Which is funny because in that movie the whole Moon was fake, not just the landings.
