Absolutely. To add another point, the rabid enforcement of the clot shot to the soldiers was all too obvious. They have to thin the herd before they can implement anything. Most of the military would not be ok with the country being taken over. So most of the military had to be weakened or incapacitated in some way
Not to prevent overthrow, per se, but the coof shot requirement was an ideological purge, I agree.
Lack of HS degree requirement has come, and gone, over the years due to recruiting needs. At the height of the Iraq War, they were looser and all you needed was a GED. Then as things wound down, it got stricter, as there was a surplus. Same goes with signing and re-up bonuses.
The vax mandate was a selection for those who blindly follow orders. That does not bode well for the future if the soldiers are ordered to fire upon civilians.
True, that is a good point. But the OP said that the military was weakened to prevent a military dictatorship (presumably a Trump character crossing the Rubicon), not that it was purged to get the NPCs necessary to have a lefty version like the Reds taking over Russia. That's a separate argument.
Either way, the military is weakened. A weakened military will be less able to take over for a Lenin as well as for a Caesar.
You brought up a good point - the vaxed military is just as subject to the heart attacks as the civilian population, so in a civil war any unvaxed have a little advantage.
The UK and US are really bedfellows in these things. What's true for one is generally true for the other.
With that in mind, and given that I don't know anything about the US Mil really being a brit, perhaps you could find something in some of the British Armys programmes, like Future Soldier and here as well as Programme CASTLE
Have a look at this article about plans for integrating British soldiers with technology - it'll be the same or even more advanced for the US. Take time to explore some of the links - there is talk about morality pills and suchlike. Pretty dystopian stuff.
I think the US military has been weakened for a more decisive purpose than the one you're suggesting. It's not to stop them from doing something - it's to 'build back better'. I think you just need to let go of any notion that the election was 'stolen' and that Trump and Biden are actual enemies. It's all of a oneness. The double headed phoenix, the hegelian dialectic etc
