That's honestly a terrifying thought. I wouldn't say it's a given, but it does seem like pretty sound reasoning. And it fits perfectly with the conditioning we are also used to say, "people are ruining the earth", "people are a disease on the planet", etc. we've all been conditioned for a moment like you describe.
