Red flag laws will be used against those who don’t even own guns. Just the ability to buy a gun in the future will put you in the crosshairs of red flag laws. (theculturechronicles.com) Speculation

yep. conveniently in the U.S., our Founding Fathers and Founding Documents give some guidance as to how to deal with agents of the state who make themselves undue hazards to the Citizen's Life & Liberty.

it gets worse the more the you think about it. Imagine this: Wendy, a gun owner, starts dating Dave, things a nice for a few dates. After a couple months, Dave seems too needy and jealous, so Wendy breaks things off. Dave doesn't like this and starts harassing Wendy and stalking her.

Wendy calls the cops in an emotional state. When the cops talk to Dave, he explains how emotional she gets and he says he heard her talk about hurting herself. He tells the police she is a gun owner. Red Flag laws take her gun without due process. Now Dave has no fear of Wendy's ability to protect herself.

Yep. I'm terrified my ex (also stalker - last pulled something 4 years ago when we'd been broken up 8 years) would get it in his head and call about me. When we were together he used to threaten to 5150 me if I didn't do everything he said. He would easily use this if he knew where to find me and if my state allowed it.

It's just a state endorsed version of SWATting.

I thought this already existed and was commonly referred to as redlisting.
