Shit just looks fake as fuck. Im not buying that those things are killing grandmas. Call me a conspiracy nut.
I think this is an interesting find and your attempt to brush it off as 'expected' is a mistake. First, I question if this image is legit. Assuming it is legit:
(1) The databases that feed the AI are carefully scrutinized to be 'main stream' narratives whereas all counter narratives are purged. (2) The question is 'How often does depopulation show up in conversations about covid in approved mainstream sources that the AI would be referencing' - i would assume this to be rare. (3) How often is heart disease discussed with death statistics? How about guns, obesity or famine?
I'm not arguing that the results are monumental or profound, but instead interesting.
I asked it to draw "compromise that saves the world" and got a picture of Earth with Western Europe sinking into the ocean and Eastern Europe broken into chunks. (Among other frames were a naval bombardment of Nigeria/Ghana, strangely.)
If two people give it the same prompt do you get the same images?"Most dangerous threat" gave interesting results as well. One picture gave me chills. And I was especially fond of "diagram of all knowledge and all unknowns" results.
Edit: I re-ran the same prompt and got different results. This app is wild.
