But cops care about our rights and would never enforce gun confiscation laws or anything like that!

Even if the nature of their job didn't entail being jackboot thugs terrorizing and extorting the general public... No one is a hero for doing something they get paid to do.

Self-righteous nurses, teachers, and police can all go eat a wet bag of dicks.

Hero is the most over/misused word to credit agents of the state for absolutely nothing. They’re mostly inferior people who believe in their own necessity and who feel like they’ve accomplished something by getting a job as paid thug. And listening to conservatives say back the blue makes me want to eat my own shit. Buy a gun, you’re your only line of defense. The po po are under no obligation to protect you or anyone other than agents of the state they serve

>What is a reasonable threat?

for broken headlights? i don't really have an answer.

...but for owners of those super bright headlights that don't get installed properly, public flayings seem a pretty reasonable threat.

the insurance industry did the most to push for them, so they must have some value in lowering deaths or severeness of injury.

It made the normies feel like they are saving the children. So they voted for the politicians that made those laws and rejected the leaders that objected on the grounds of personal freedom. The logic is on the part of those in charge who seek to expand government control. If expansion is your ultimate goal this was a logical law.
