I would argue that the war was unrecoverable for Ukraine in the first hour, after a wave of nearly a couple of hundred Kalibr cruise missiles and Iskander intermediate range ballistic missiles had struck their targets.
There was much more to the damage, but if there had been nothing else then Ukraine's loss of almost all their ground-based search radars was fatal. They were from that point forward effectively blind to the skies above them and RF aerospace forces could begin operations with near-impunity.
Everything just gets worse from that point. We have seen that Ukraine's greatest "victory" was no more than it's most-delayed loss. The Azov Nazis and their Western commanders hid in deep basements behind civilians in Mariupol until they figured out no one was coming, ever.
This all could have been foreseen by the Ukrainians at the end of the first day, because it would have taken only that long to gather the damage assessments from the missile strikes.
All their losses since then have been no more than fanatics, deeply misled and misinformed patriots, and normal people caught up in circumstances far beyond their control, all given over for a Satanic sacrifice. But then, that's the same old story, isn't it?
