heh, took a look at your post history thinking, shit what have I been missing? surely this one been posting some sweet sweet gold.
Nothing.
Would you prefer I add to the influx of low grade garbage?
I prefer to add commentary, provide discussion and as mentioned it's mostly it dead for that.
If there is a discussion then I am interested in providing more contextual links. But dumping a bunch of useless links all at once for people to sift through isn't much help unless it's fresh and new - I used to do that and got no replies from people except 'cool - gotta look through this'
Eventually it's a waste of effort. However, I now realise the key is to work on one thing slowly. This place for how few users it has ... Has the attention span of a goldfish.
Maybe....maybe a pinned post gets some love (usually only if it's clickbait 'breaking news') ....
I feel like axolotl is perhaps not helping this cause as he seems more interested in getting karma and yet....no discussion points. I sense......an operation
While I agree with your statements for the most part, I feel that the influx to keep momentum in the new era, this is the reason for reposting and bringing new insight or discussion on known issues.
So much stuff is happening globally, it is pretty high pace with issues everywhere that are both historic and new.
I like to get a chance to re-review things, so I am not against information being reposted as time progresses, basically how many pages of backscroll does one go with, In theory hot and new should be the division you seek.
I wouldn't mind an occasional report. But it's like waves. One person does a COVID repost and suddenly it's half the hot, rising, and new. You find one single post on something somewhat obscure and it gets buried with vaxx stuff.
Like it feels like a FOB (Fresh off the boat) situation for this community. Political party stuff for the Demo v Repo is usually also very much like a FOB cycle.
It's painful because it's usually just the same circle jerking eventually - I don't see how that helps with things. Maybe reposting something obscure from time to time sure
Yea, I read this as the obscure stuff is being blockaded by waves of garbage noone cares about, wonder why.
I think the response should be to keep voting and reposting? I mean, when you look at hot, howcome the good stuff isnt there?
