I have no idea how the populace isn't more depressed. It's about the time of year where we all start working for the government and not ourselves, and my parents as an example have told me to "man up" and that it's "not a big deal" to be paying >50% taxes effectively.

What kind of man just sits by and gets robbed for half his shit, year in year out?
