Trust me, you're on the right track with the openness of your mind to novel perspectives. If you're pretty new to all this and if I may be so bold, here's a few items you might keep in mind as you examine and analyze events and think there might be shenanigans afoot:

• If I could think up some lie or trick, why wouldn't they be able to?
• If they would be advantaged by telling a lie or pulling a trick, why wouldn't they?
• There is always a higher-level perspective to see things from.
