It held the majority of its oil and gas. 1 port left, and it is in Russian waters. It has taken Kherson Oblast and that one alongside it to the right going towards Donbass Oblast. Luhansk Oblast is virtually taken. Donbass is still fighting along the fortified Ukrainian line. It is caving. When it goes and the rest of the Donbass is secured and the other territory committed, Ukraine has almost nothing of any significant value. It only has daily debts running miles high. As Russia continues to turn it into a war zone and rumble. It's heavy resource production halted, its coastline irrelevant.
Kharkiv wasn't much of a current objective. Ukraine rescuing it, hasn't done shit. It was cut off before. It is still within massive bombardment. And it has largely been turned into colossal debt, by repairing the smouldering rubble. Won what?
Ukraine has done nothing but lose. The press needs to convince everybody else why they're paying sky high inflation, and importantly justify even more arms shipments.
