Here's some perspective that might explain things. Since the end of the cold war, the world population has gone up by about 40 or so percent.
Now, take the fact that currently Russia and Ukraine combined sell about 30% of the planet's wheat (among other shit). While there is war going on, it's sometimes hard to farm and ship shit. Now, the world has to make up for lets say 10% missing. Prices go up. People break deals to sell to other people. People that were getting from one, instead get from the other. Etc etc...
This issue will compound as time goes on. We haven't seen nothing really yet since it's not harvest time either. This is reality on how this can affect us. 30% of the global wheat in the world is at stake here. And who uses the most wheat? Poor people. And the poor will always suffer and the rich never will.
Putin has his bread and wants Ukraines too. And their ports and access to water. And their oil and gas. And he's not going to stop.
Sure but how much wheat does north America import from Ukraine?
Canada for example has a lot of wheat I assume the US does. Perhaps it impacts Euorpe, but I don't see a North American problem. Also grain can be stored in silos for years so I'm not sure how much there is in storage.
Let's not forget the Ukrainian Russian conflict has been going on since 2016.
I just don't buy this. Also most of the population growth is in third world nations.
Most people don't know fuck all about how the world works, that's really fucking obvious with how much dumb, completely made up bullshit is posted on the internet.
That's me. I don't have a clue where all these bananas and strawbs keep coming from and why they're only a few cents. No, I'm not asking anybody to explain it.
Or how it's cheaper to send a bunch of parts all the way around the world to have a label --or some other little component--slapped on them, then send them back here than it is to do that here. No, I'm not asking anybody to explain it.
I know where the wind comes from, and what the birds talk about when they think nobody's listening; and I can speak a few words of Cat and a few more of Dog, so I've got that going for me. Which is nice. No, I'm not going to explain it.
Blood and treasure to feed the world! Should do a concert for this!
Makes no fucking sense since the US and USSR were enemies and Ukraine was in the USSR. So how come we didn't all starve to death during the cold War?

The financial and economic interests that the elites of the west have in Ukraine must be phenomenal, otherwise their motives cannot be explained.
Guess what?
