Distance from the North Pole to the Equator line is about 6000 miles. Considering that the Polestar stand stationary above the North Pole, and it can be viewed a bit beyond the Equator line. So stars can be viewed from a bit over 6000 miles away.
Based on the angel of Crepuscular sun rays, the sun is calculated to be about 4000 miles high. So if you assume that stars and the sun are on the same plain, that means stars also would be at about 4000 miles high.
No, do your own math.
If you want me to say that I do not know how high up the stars are, that is completely fine with me. 4000 miles high is speculation, and a assumption.
