It's obvious that human civilizations have risen and fallen many times before what we're taught is the beginning of our current recorded history. It's also obvious that the carrying capacity of the earth is many times greater than being pitched. I believe a breakaway society is orchestrating these collapses in order to maintain their scientific and technological advancements which have allowed them to strangle hold the human race for what could be tens of thousands of years.
