The right is so desperate for leadership they'll cling to any scumbag that says anything that remotely aligns with one of their "values." They're just screwed over every. Single. Time.

People are aware of this now and all a grifter has to do is a little virtue signaling and they end up eating out of the palm of said grifters hand.
