Couldn't we shrink the workforce in half but just banning women from working like things were barely 100 years ago?
Without women working to earn an income, they would be forced to be taken care of by the fathers or husbands. This would result in reduced consumption of resources; however, arguably, a lot of people's quality of life would improve.
Working woman are also psychologically more choosy in their mates. Woman have a hard time even being attracted to men who are of lower status than themselves. So if they have more education, a higher wage, a better car, unless the man is far better looking then most women will not even consider a relationship.
Add in a few lies like "its smart to focus on your career" "you can freeze your eggs" "you are as fertile at 30 as at 20" and "get and education and you can go anywhere" and you now have a trend where 50% of women haven't had a child at 30.
Biology, psychology, and propaganda in our new work culture has already destroyed human fertility.
And having both parents work is completely awful for the children. Not so bad for single children, but in any situation where an older child bullies their siblings without parents stopping that shit. Well those bullied children will turn out fearful or hateful, and the bullies will turn into sociopaths. Probably why schools have "zero tolerance" rules that favor bullies.
I'm not even sure if it was intentional at first, but it clearly feels like it is now.
