The truth of the matter is simple. If these crazy assholes cannot get their wants fulfilled by mass brainwashing and coercion techniques then they will go scorched earth.
The idea of a tactical nuclear strike is more than likely in their playbook BUT I highly doubt they will just destroy complete countries by dropping another fatman or God forbid a Tsar Bomba. They in their minds will be the rulers of the one world government and won't destroy anything unless necessary.
Don't wish for nuclear war. If it does happen you should wish to be at ground zero because the resulting radiation and possible nuclear winter will be absolute torture for those not fortunate enough to be gone in a flash.
