The real Shakespeare is Edward De Vere. Elizabeth 1 didn’t want her employees name on the book for political reasons. He hired an actor named Shakespeare to be the fake author. Edward’s family crest is a Lion shaking a broken spear so he figured Shakespeare’s name would connect to his family crest.
