The drug war destroyed the constitution. Turned the police into an occupying force. Turned the inner cities into gang territory. Funded the CIA and Deep State, who can sell shit that cost pennies to produce for more than it's weight in gold. Millions imprisoned, killed, in endless drug raids and gang fighting. Trillions wasted. And for all that world of shit, there are more drugs and druggies than ever. Druggies bitching eh?
