Yeah, you have to buy things that you’ll actually use. I love ramen and canned fish, has a shelf life of like 3 years. If you buy 10lbs of strawberries and only eat a couple every week, you’re gonna have a bad time. Even with a deep freeze, ya gonna get (freezer) burnt. I have a foodsaver plus machine, too. Those things are dope.

What i do is write down expiration dates of things I buy in bulk in a calendar, if it’s within a month of expiration and i can’t possibly consume it, I’ll cook a bunch of it and go to a potluck, or invite friends over for a big feast.
Sometimes, I donate to the local foodbanks, or rando homeless encampments. The homeless usually just waste it though.
Anyways, tired of seeing “survivalists/preppers” and “green Gaia worshippers” leave half of their plates full at the restaurants. Get a to-go box or bring one with you. Split an entreé... portion sizes are YUGE, but they are getting smaller i’ve noticed...
Especially the greenies, after having two or three bites...to hop in their tesla x with their noses high in the air. O ye Hypocrites!!
40% of all food in the United States is wasted... but it won’t be for long!!
It doesn't help the mathematically or logistically challenged save money. If someone isn't an idiot, however, they can figure out pretty quick what items bought in bulk save money and which ones don't. The key is to not buy everything in one place. Buy dry shelf items at Costco in bulk, buy anything perishable in smaller amounts elsewhere. Its just a tiny bit of math and shopping plans.
