Basically, the entire Dream Reality that we experience is made by us. Positive emotions like Optimism make positive realities. Negative make negative. They can be mixed and matched too. The strongest positive is Love. Strongest negative is Fear.
The truth of the matter is that our Reality is a Dream Simulation constructed by our very own hands not only for entertainment but also to see what duality looks like.

I see what you are saying but it's not knowledge that causes suffering. Rather it is ignorance. Sure, an animal can be so ignorant that they don't suffer but humans are smart enough to misjudge the way life works but stupid enough to truly understand it which causes suffering.
The main cause of suffering in this level is ignorance. As we gain in knowledge, suffering lessons because we find better ways to do things. One day 3D itself will change physics and become something better.

Example: being a fish within water...how do you keep perceived water a secret from the fish?
