You know the Joule Thief circuit doesn't actually use RF energy, right?
Joule Thief is not a device, it is a principle of converting any amount of electricity to something meaningful (usually to charge a battery). It could be charge pump or boost converter, even transformer, whatever. F.e. you could use Joule Thief to get 5V from 0.5V of potato battery. Or suck alkaline battery completely dry. Or convert RF from air to something useful. Since we talk about free energy, not about batteries., the latter case is what I told about.
Even self-charging electrolytic capacitor use RF for self-charge. Easily checked with shielding in metal box and emitting more RF energy from generator or even smartphone.
Surely check Searl generator. I'm amased you being into that free energy stuff never heard about it. Even if it is a hoax, the tale and overall concept is very entertaining. There are videos, of Searl himself demonstrating generator on YouTube, many articles and even few scientific papers. Found something about possible Russian replication - http://www.rexresearch.com/roschin/roschin.htm with published paper translation and other stuff. In English
I tested a steel box as Faraday cage with antenna on the cable from RF generator inside. Capacitor clearly show exact dependency of self-charging from incoming RF power. No power - no charge. More power - faster charging to fixed voltage (I took 0.1V as threshold)
My steel box was ~30cm cube. I didn't test different sizes and don't know if it matter.
Joule Thief connected to antenna with diode and capacitor (simpliest detector circuit possible) as power source also show obvious connection between RF power and Joule Thief output. I used classic single transistor generator with two coils on toroid ferrite core as Joule Thief. Had to check charge pump Joule Thief variant too, but was too lazy. :)
You see, this test is very misleading for multiple reasons. Primarily because you are assuming it's only blocking RF, and just because RF contains energy that can be extracted, doesn't mean RF is the only source of energy extracted from the environment.
May be. I just tried to find some free energy and failed. To prove or disprove something you should think out every way not only to prove that thing is working, but also try to disprove that it is working. And only if you 100% succed with first and 100% failed with second you could be shure that you have something real. When it is 50/50, there should be reasonable doubts.
the true theory of electricity,
Theory can't be true or false. Theory could be proven or disproven. When it is completely proven and there are no any disproofs, it is not a theory anymore. For now, we have only theories, and none of them completely proven. So, there definitely a lot to explore, and there could be some unexpected things found. Sorry, but for now I can't name any in all that MEG and similar things.
You know what else doesn't work inside a steel box? Water. Without an ambient source of energy, water cannot charge itself to provide the vital functions which support all forms of life, including structuring, separation of contaminants, generation of momentum and protein folding.
In rural areas we often use standard 200 liter steel barrels to collect rainwater from roofs to use for watering gardens and greenhouses. I never notice any water degradation in that barrels. There is no difference with water from plastic barrels too. Plants grow perfectly on that water, and much better than on water from the well, because plants don't like calcium compounds in our well water.
Simple improved circuit with real impulse generation and real coils.
Why do they always use batteries? Capacitors is much more convinceable for that kind of tests. Batteries are electrochemical devices and often have weird behaviour due to chemical processes inside. You can take a slightly sulfatised battery, connect a load via boost converter and see how voltage grow because voltage spikes from boost converter desulfatise it and heat it up a little. That does not mean you getting free energy, you just observe a complex electrochemical processes inside battery. I studied a lot about batteries at the time, trying to understand the things I use, and they are weird but ineffective things. That is why I moved to capacitors for free energy experiments. If it is about electricity, than it sould work better with much more effective electric energy storage like capacitor. But it does not.
