They control you by knowing your drives and instincs better than you. Hope is one of the basics of psychology. And they make sure to always give you false hope, because they need you to contribute and work for them.

There are others, more superficial. Consumerism is one. That's how "consume product" is all about. They keep you under control by making you into a consoomer.

Isn’t Ukraine one of the poorest and most corrupt eastern european countries? If yes, it makes sense to me that they would allow these biolabs in exchange for cash money from
the US and possibly other countries. Likely the entire purpose of the labs was gain of function work and their government was able to charge the US through the nose for this work. Sadly if this theory is correct you can see that the money did not go toward bettering Ukraine for their citizens, it went to enriching corrupt politicians. Just like in the US.
Ukraine has black soil. It is one of the richest types on the planet. Exclusively. So it grows stuff. Stuff used by biolabs. Like ingredients for research. Biolabs are conducting research for agriculture as well, as a host of other possibilities, they're not all weapons but sometimes they could be. They might also be data and vaccines, as well as cultures, and toxins, etc. But outside of this it is corrupt. It could mean far easier experimentation, test subjects will for a banana, away from other rules, press, and concerns. It is desperate for funding. It allows corporate access. It is somewhat tech savvy, universities, equipment, accessible and accessed nearby. It is near rivals, it might conduct competing ops, and even opposing research, possibly even into weapons.
Regardless who knows all the facts. Except there look proof. No it doesn't fully prove them either. By them their dastardly deeds. But at this point? Yeah. Harmful pathogens, it could mean bleach. No.
I thought they'd publicly and directly accused the US regarding the bio-labs for years? It seems like a reasonable conclusion to "Pls stop or we'll have to protect ourselves from your recklessness".

Nothing about an unscheduled meeting of the security council - OF WHICH MY COUNTRY IS PART OF - regarding the accusations of biological weapons development.
