Man has been saying for two and half decades nato creeping in my backyard is the red line. Nothing about any of this is unpredictable.
Because it would turn into a very unclear war. Which is very much what it could still turn into.
The doomsday clock at this point fails in its creation if it puts itself forward more, perhaps even triggering it. Because of the panic created. But those odds as escalation continues are becoming grim.
Policies colliding being forced by hidden hands often of something cold and calculating and inhumane, how much more can be squeezed before the other yields and breaks. Until in increasing probability this species has yet again to remember just who its gods are.
Or do us all a favour and find middle ground. Seemingly unheard of. The other wants what the other cannot give. Therefore something must get broken.
