It’s honestly been pretty close to this without ever specifically stating it, throughout the covid bullshit places just straight up refused any cash transactions, couple that with the fact most ATM’s aren’t really maintained which feels like the banks simply don’t want to pay to keep them up and running and are doing all they can to stop people using cash. We’re mostly a cashless society already, it’s sad but like most things people just went along with it all.
