Dr. Jessica Ashooh is a former nonresident senior fellow at the Rafik Hariri Center for the Middle East. She is based in San Francisco, where she is Director of Policy for Reddit, the online discussion platform. In this capacity, she addresses a range of online and technology policy issues, from fake news to online terrorist recruiting. Previously, from 2015 to 2017, Ashooh served as Deputy Director for Madeleine Albright and Stephen Hadley’s bipartisan Middle East Strategy Task Force at the Atlantic Council. In this position, she focused on long-term strategy to more comprehensively address state failure and violent extremism in the Middle East and set the region on a more positive trajectory.
From 2011 to 2015, Ashooh worked as a senior analyst in the UAE Foreign Ministry’s Policy Planning Department in Abu Dhabi. She specialized on the crisis in Syria, and worked in close cooperation with the UAE special envoy for Syria to support the Geneva II peace process and with moderate elements of the Syrian political opposition. Ashooh also spent time in Erbil, Iraq in 2010 working as a consulting adviser to the Kurdistan Regional Government’s Minister of Planning.
Ashooh is a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations and holds a doctorate in international relations from the University of Oxford (St. Antony’s College), which she attended as a Marshall Scholar. Her doctoral research focused on ideological and bureaucratic infighting in US foreign policy toward the Middle East. Ashooh did her undergraduate studies at Brown University and also spent time at the American University of Beirut and at the Bourguiba Language Institute in Tunis. Her work has been published in the New York Times, Washington Post, Foreign Policy, The National Interest, and others.
EX:
A guy privately messaged me on reddit and then 2 days later on FB he was suggested in my friends list. We were not in the same groups on both and had no mutual friends.
It is that but also has Chinese propaganda too. Maybe the neocons are somehow aligned with the CCP in a weird way.
There is no question Reddit does not want anyone contravening the government. I was banned permanently by them when they went back through years-old comments, found the words 'French Revolution', and actually banned me for just those two words. I am not exaggerating. WTF. But that aside, they promote US policy and suppress contrary opinions. I imagine that right now they must be pushing Ukraine, Russia bad man, like crazy.
The /world news sub has always been tightly controlled propaganda.
Yes, that makes sense. They may not be communists but they want the totalitarian control of a unistate.
Most people do not know that it was a neocon operative, JCM267, who started The_Donald. Although this site has been staunchly pro-Trump, the evidence is that it is actually controlled in the same way Reddit is, and at any time the founders could steer it to their advantage. I believe this is one reason Trump started Truth Social; he used The_Donald where it was to his advantage, but he realizes it may be a disposable tool only.
It is very possible that the tremendous Jan 6 coverage here was a setup to snare people and set up a trap in DC.
What I saw of the pre-Jan 6 stuff was elsewhere on .win. A lot accounts encouraging people not to attend and alluding to going there to cause mayhem, dressing like ANTIFA, etc.
Since at least 2014 the US DoD has been manipulating Reddit via a putative Pentagon-controlled troll farm at Eglin AFB. Evidence of this was revealed when for fun Reddit released user numbers by city, and Eglin AFB turned out to have the highest user/population ratio in the world. Not sus at all.
I believe they've been at it since Collateral Murder was released and Reddit recoiled in horror at the notion that US soldiers were just casually committing horrendous war crimes. The DoD had to do something so they swooped in with an army of trolls to do damage control. Hearts and minds and all that.
Later in 2016, when Reddit went bananas for Bernie Sanders, and the DNC hired their own trolls (David Brock's CTR, later called Shareblue) to help sink his campaign, I think it became evident to the spookverse that Reddit could be an extremely effective consent factory.
I suppose it took a little time or cagjoling but eventually Reddit's bosses agreed to create a new position (director of policy) and hire Ashooh to fill it.
Here's the top Google result for her. There is no reason to think it's weird this person would be the Director of Policy at Reddit. rolls eyes

Neoconservatives spent decades infiltrating the Democratic Party in the U.S. Now they are in charge and trying to implement the China Model.

Gosh but that data would be neat to see. We need a Reddit whistleblower to leak it!
