You haven't addressed any single one of my criticisms... you post some outdated article by a dude who is known for writing software articles....and act like you are some wizened old chap who has taken time from his battle saving the world from the likes of the globalists....to tell me that I should be charging money for open source....but cannot fathom that the feedback of supporting open source and giving away things which are a buden to market because of the niche nature (OH you are one of those anal retentive fucks who likes organizing screws for every gauge eh?? Do you have the wire rolls all lined up in ASC radius or gauge?)

The point is...without open source you wouldnt have this website to complain on so shut up you loser - how about you post that bootload you wrote eh? I would love to see how your x86 looks...
I understand your point...you have the wrong angle. You seem to think that parasites won't do their best to make use of whatever they can get. The thing you need to realise is that the open source community has been a thorn in their side until recently when they started to promote it after years of fighting it....
They have the cloud which is a complementary service as you say....but to what is where you are missing the forest for the trees.....the trees are opens source....the forest is the value of the platforms.....
The corporations embraced open source at least a decade ago. Android is built on open source. Windows began embracing it since Windows 8, which marks the fall of Windows as a desktop OS and the beginning of Windows as spyware. Google and Facebook have used and manipulated open source from their beginning.
The main argument for open source is code reuse, but code reuse is a false idol. We need code diversity, just like we need diversity in genetics. We need a resilient and redundant technological ecosystem, not a fragile one, and a single code base is ultimate fragility.
The ultimate result of code reuse applied to genetics is that humans become clones. Then we realize that we don't need so many clones, and radically reduce the number of humans. Code reuse is, basically, death of all alternatives.
You are not expressing a coherent thought, except sniveling outrage because your pride is being belittled.
This is characteristic of open source zealots. One has to be unstable to waste one's talents for no pay. "I'm contributing to humanity!"
You're contributing to Google grinding us to dust. The technology we're creating is anti-human. The fire you praise will eat us.
If we survive the next few years, we need to slow down with technology to a halt, and rebuild a lot of it from scratch.
The breakneck "progress" is harmful and stupid. Do things slow. Do them many times over. One day, do things right.

I'm not trying to reply to your points, I'm trying to explain why your points are stupid. You are missing the forest for the trees.
I spent some time editing the previous reply, it is now larger than when you read it.
It doesn't matter if you answer, I would prefer if you don't.
