Maybe not, recently they announced that banks don't gotta give back large funds if they don't wanna, to protect the stability of the banks (and also verifying there was a bank run). Then shortly after that, they announced they'd stop freezing accounts and unfreeze most of them. I suspect when they said they did not have to give back funds, that just made it worse and even MORE people got worried about their funds. Now they are trying to allay fears by back peddling on the fear porn. It's easy to assume there is a secret evil plot and that may still be true but think about how dumb govt officials are and you can also easily imagine it could be them being fxcking control freak idiots and not seeing the forest through the trees. They thought they could scare peeps to not fund the protests but they did not think far enough to realize that would also scare peeps to not trust the banks. Trudeau is too out of touch with the common man to easily understand how we think.
