Highly acclaimed peer-reviewed Bangladesh study shows that masks don't work at all: You have to download the original data from github to see that because they didn't mention it in the paper. The bottom line: mask are a complete joke with no science to back it up. Pure politics. (stevekirsch.substack.com)

Masks only work if you're immediately symptomatic, coughing, sneezing, etc preventing some particle transmission. But a fake shield. If you're around somebody contagious, and in confined spaces for extended periods, they literally offer nothing. They also cause respiratory sickness.

The real premise for them was if you aren't pro you're against. Simple fear. The public polices itself. It follows the rules by intimidation. The presumption everybody else is sick. Causes, remedy, vaccination.

Perhaps but infectious disease isn't.

Let's agree to disagree. That person, hate these types, but there they are in germ season coughing, sneezing, snot drooling down their chin. Avoid or snog? On that premise. Does a mask prevent some heavy particles. Not enough to stop transmission. Possibly enough to avoid some immediate risk if you passed on by where there was that infectious person. A failed premise when engaged on a disease that was largely asymptomatic. A failed premise when deployed in enclosed proximity for extended durations. A failed premise when they cause illness. A failed premise when symptomatic are supposed to isolate.

Prior to this pandemic. There was no legislation on doctors, or nurses going into practice with the flu. There still isn't in most places. I find it to be the most intolerable of all.

FAKE

Mask distribution with promotion was a scalable and effective method to reduce symptomatic SARS-CoV-2 infections.

These observations suggest that mask promotion interventions could be useful in rural areas of low- and middle-income countries, which are home to several billion people at risk for COVID-19.
