Apparently in 2019 the US had 38 million cases of flu. By the next year it had declined to 1500~. Somehow one disease had been wiped off the face of the planet and replaced by another very similar disease. I just don't believe this is possible. I think the 'cases' is just a function of testing, and I don't believe the testing can differentiate from flu. With regards to Omicron they probably tweaked the tests for this new 'variant'.

Or perhaps the "flu" represents a class of common colds. PCR tests lack specificity but have more specificity than self diagnosed cases of flu lol
