That building was full of armed military forces and police, and they open severe machinegun fire on protestors, that resulted in many hundred of protestors corpses that remained on the lawns and roads around after the battle. Heavily armed guard was placed in that building, and only in that building of TV centre long before the protesters even decided to rally to that location. They even had few real tanks inside that giant building in the cargo passage that runs trough the whole building to deliver sets to studios. Interesting, that the building, where all broadcast equipment resided was completely unguarded and could be taken in minutes and all broadcast could be under control of protestors. One small betrayal of protest leaders allow Yeltsin to win.
So if your proposal will be somehow inmplemented and the things will develop to the moment when protesters will come to their last resort, it is very importsnt to take over correct buildings, not ones where all that shitty faces sit during shooting news and talk shows, but technical ones, where you could physically switch the broadcast and air your own content. It will be much easier and many orders more effective. Take over the transmitter, not the useless talking heads.
