The problem with this is everything they have is God's and everything they use is given to them by Him. Pure evil doesn't exist, it is only goodness terribly twisted beyond recognition. The only possible reason for any of this is to take humans away from God to suffer with them for eternity. It's about hitting where it hurts, the heart. They can't defeat Him so they must try to wound Him. I am, however, very happy to report there are many many more that love God and will not be shaken!
Pride. Seems simple, but I think people underestimate what the fall really was for humanity, it came down to pride just like the previous angel fall. Eating an apple to know as much as God is pride,(they trusted themselves and the snake more than God). Thinking you have authority the way God does, pride. Thinking you can do whatever you want with no eternal consequences, pride. All of our problems can be broken down to pride I believe. The other sins are bad but this one seems the hardest to break us from.
