Yeah, from what I've experienced from doctors, they've become completely callous. High and mighty, barely want to hear a thing from you. They just want their tests, to look at you like any other object, pass you out the door and collect. All the better if they can convince you that you need major or minor surgery, often uneeded and has devastating side effects. Why? Because the insurance will pay for it. They convinced my mom to remove her ovaries when she told them about back pain. That was a nightmare, worse pain, and a whole host of issues from her hormones being thrown off.
From what I know of their schooling, admittedly not much, they have to study like crazy, absorb an absurd amount of information, and it typically takes almost all of their time. No time to think about what your learning, they most certainly don't want that. By the time they've done that for 6 to 8 years (including time in residency), they're too invested to question the system they've just drained their soul to enter.
