A law enforcement officer discharged a weapon towards a large peaceful crowd, where (by my count) at least 6 other law enforcement officers stood. The risk of injuring or killing an innocent bystander or fellow law enforcement officer was extremely high. Also, at least 2 law enforcement officers stood within arms reach of Babbitt. This is an example of gross negligence and endagerment commited by the officer who discharged the weapon. Considering Babbitt was unarmed and could have been detained by one of the officers who stood beside her, I also consider this at minimum manslaughter, when you consider Chauvin was convicted of murder, and he did not discharge a weapon.
