In reality, there is no justification other than you can't vaccinate anything that doesn't exist.

The vaccines are there to give the ignorant a hope spot and you a distraction. Too bad, this isn't intended to be one of those crises that will just end, and they will keep moving the goalposts until you just swell, starve, beg for mercy, die and your corpse leaving in your home having nobody to care, and then your only hope is for your fellow family members to eat your body so you could ease their hunger for a while.

Don't take my word for it, the goalposts are exactly what happened in Holodomor or Pol Pot, but this time, it's the whole world that pays.
