If it's the YouTube app that's doing it, maybe try an alternative app, like YouTube vanced. It has the added benefit of Little to no commercials because it uses the YouTube red API. Allows background play, and many other premium features, but it's made by a 3rd party. It's not perfect but it's my preferred experience if looking at YouTube
I'll take a look. It could be the app too, but I think it's their preprocessing they do.
If they are doing it, should be reasonably easy to strip out the 20hz sub and not notice loss of the audio from another app on playback.
Is an artifact of sound compression algorithm or is purposefully added? Have you done a Fourier transform in a couple to see what sticks out?
Also....love it is getting down votes....very quickly before the comments on Reddit....I sense something.
