In a time where the most-discussed topics on a non-restricted conspiracy forum are, naturally, either 2019-nCoV and the clotshots or current or recent politics, with occasional delving into Pizzagate and the Pentagon UFO files, other interesting topics, if of less current urgency, don't get that much exposure. Older UFO incidents, personal alien abduction stories, interesting 4chan conspiracies such as the Dead Internet Theory, the Mandela Effect, Reptilians, Greater Tartaria, you know what I mean. Personally I like to read and comment on such stuff as a means of taking a break from everyday events.
On Reddit we have solved the problem by creating a new forum, /r/HighStrangeness, which restricts posts to the above, more paranormal and less political, conspiracies. Apart from news pertaining to the above topics, people tend to post personal stories of paranormal encounters such as haunted houses. When you want to read about the newest connections between Pfizer and the FDA that anons have found out, you go to /r/Conspiracy. When you want to read about the UFO attack on your hometown last week, or about haunted houses, you go to /r/HighStrangeness.
I suggest that a similar forum is created on Win, named HighStrangeness.win or Paranormal.win. Or that you add a special flair for all "COVID/Election/Vaccines"-type posts and a button that allows you to filter them out.
Note that some topics might be borderline between Conspiracies/Conspiracy and HighStrangeness, such as a theory which connects COVID and reptilians, or the 2020 election fraud and freemasons. It is of course up to the moderator to resolve these ambiguities.
Also note that the forerunner of the separation between political/current and more "escapist" conspiracies is 4chan with its /pol/ and /x/, with clear written and unwritten rules concerning the boundaries on what belongs to the one and what belongs to the other.
That’s an interesting idea...I know .win has wiki’s but I think you need to be a mod to edit them. It could be a cool idea to have a nomination thread where people post their “best threads”, and they’re backed up on the wiki here (like you mention, for posterity against the censors).
Also, the idea of an “approved submitter” forum is rather interesting, I wonder how and if that would work here.
