We are forced to “compete” as you call it by those who fancy themselves as rulers of the world. Does the average person in one country want to conquer someone halfway around the world? No. Most people want to live a happy life and don’t want to annoy or burden their neighbors. Everything about our societies is cultured to tear us down. All wars have been staged, that’s a fact.

But here you are saying that the prisoners must compete.
