That's because saying anything else would have given ammunition to the court case Ghislain's lawyer had up stating no government official could make statements regarding her guilt in order to influence the case.

OP's account was created a year ago, but they only made one post and one comment up until a month ago. Your other friend u/truth1776 created an account 7 days ago. I also suspect u/truth1776 is the very same as u/1776today_realnews who spent a couple of days trolling and deleting comments after creating their account 23 days ago.
